News : Budapest 2008 - A Great Success

The 8th International Conference of the European Society of Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology took place between 8-11th June in Budapest.
Nearly 700 delegates and accompanying persons, representing 55 countries participated in this event. The main conference was held in the Intercontinental Hotel on the Pest bank of the River Danube. The views across to the Budavari Palota and the Citadella Buda were impressive both by day and night. Intercontinental

The Marriott hotel a few metres away offered additional space for the numerous posters and some free paper sessions. The excellent program was the result of a fruitful collaboration of the International and Hungarian organizing bodies and the active participation of involved professionals and doctors from all over the world.
As usual all areas of Pediatric ORL where addressed with new frontiers of research been presented and importantly discussing the future of training through out the EU. It would not be appropriate to single out any particular lecturer. Budapest

It is planned that ESPO will be able to offer scholarships for trainees in Pediatric ORL to attend the next meeting in Pamplona in 2010.
